Student arrested for stalking
Joshua M. Davis, 24, was arrested for stalking and four counts of criminal mischief and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on March 15 at 5:10 p.m., said LSUPD spokesperson Lt. Marshall Walters.
LSUPD received four complaints from a student victim, who previously dated Davis and reported harassment and vandalism of her car, according to the arrest report.
The relationship ended in February 2015, but Davis repeatedly harassed the victim through social media, telephone and in-person visits to the victim’s residence and place of employment, according to the report, all of which prompted the victim to request assistance from BRPD.
According to the report, both Davis and the victim received Temporary Restraining Orders that expired in December.
The victim later reported multiple instances between January 27 and March 14 to LSUPD in which she returned to her legally parked car to find either writing in yellow chalk on her windows, including “stop parking next to me”) or several “Parking Violation” stickers placed on it, according to the report.
LSUPD discovered that Davis, who said the court ordered the victim not to park next to him, purchased online the exact “Parking Violation” stickers found on the vehicle in February, according to the report.
