Man, oh man, do we have a collection for you. This week, Taylor and I picked our favorite songs from movies written and directed by Joel and Ethan Cohen — more commonly referred to as Coen Brothers.
Their movies are dark, comedic and classic to say the least. In 2014, the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry actually added “The Big Lebowski” as one of 650 films in their vault because of its historical and cultural value. And their uniqueness doesn’t stop with the script. Every piece of music we played should take you back to a time in the movie where no other song would have sufficed.
Here is the full playlist for those who were not awake from 7 to 8 a.m.:
- The Man In Me – Bob Dylan (The Big Lebowski)
- Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In) – Kenny Rogers (The Big Lebowski)
