After being diagnosed last fall with a rare form of cancer, Howard Lee “Hokie” Gajan passed away late Monday night at the age on 56.
Gajan was a former LSU and New Orleans Saints player and was a popular radio color analyst for the professional club for more than a decade.
The Baton Rouge-born native combined to produce 2,736 yards donned in purple and gold and scored nine in-game touchdowns.
In 1981, Gajan was drafted in the 10th round by the New Orleans Saints.
Gajan lived in Mandeville, Louisiana, for the last 35 years. He is survived by his wife Judy and daughters Jennifer, Kristin, Megan and Alexis.
