A man was found shot in the neck near the LSU Lakes around 9:30 a.m. this morning, BRPD spokesperson Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, and the extent of his injuries is unclear at this time, Coppola said. The victim is not affiliated with the University, according to LSU Media Relations.
Preliminary findings suggest the shooting did not occur around the lake area, but that the victim drove or was driven there from somewhere near Kentucky Street, Coppola said.
Officers have blocked off an area near East Lakeshore Drive and May Street.
