The LSU Tigers faced off against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles Tuesday night.
The Tigers won 78 to 61 thanks in part to Sophomore Forward Antonio Blakeney’s 26 points.
Brandon Sampson also had a nice night, scoring 11 points and grabbing six rebounds.
Wayde Sims came off the bench to give the Tigers a nice spark. The freshman forward hit four out of his five shots and scored 10 points in only 23 minutes.
Freshman guard Skylar Mays didn’t find the same kind of success he had against Wofford in the season opener. He wasn’t able to score and turned the ball over three times but did have 6 assists on the night.
The Tigers’s next match will Friday when they face off against North Florida. Tip-off is seven p.m in the PMAC.
