“Saturdays won’t be the same without Les Miles on the sideline,” Travin Dural said.
One second was the difference between Miles keeping or losing his job.
“I decided it would be best for Ed Orgeron to take over,” Athletic Director Joe Alleva said, “I still believe in the future of this team.”
Ed Orgeon was officially named interim head coach today by Alleva.
The team is ready to play for Coach O, but will miss having Miles as their leader.
“You get a relationship with the coaches. If you don’t have a father, you don’t have a mother you can go to them,” Leonard Fournette said.
“It still doesn’t feel real but we’re excited to play for Coach O,” Jamal Adams said.
The man that hires him still stands by him.
“The players love him. He’s a player’s coach,” Skip Bertman said.
Miles was on the Dan Patrick show Monday morning. He said he wants what is best for the tigers.
“We will be playing for him,” Adams said.
Coach O feels he can get this team back in the win column.
“It’s a new season. Everything else is in the past,” Orgeron said.
LSU has eight games remaining this season. Six of those games are SEC match ups. Orgeron will need to rally his team to win out.
