LSU’s on the move again.
In Sunday’s weekly release of the AP Poll, LSU (2-1, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) climbed two spots from No. 20 to No. 18 after its 23-20 win against Mississippi State on Saturday.
The SEC has a total of eight teams ranked in the top 25, with half of them coming from the SEC West division.
Alabama, Ohio State, Louisville, Michigan and Clemson round out the top five in the fourth release of the poll this season.
The Tigers will travel to face unranked Auburn (1-2, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) on Sept. 24.
LSU was as high as No. 5 in the AP Poll to begin the season, then fell to No. 21 after its 16-14 loss against Wisconsin.
The Tigers are the sixth-highest ranked SEC team in the top 25.
