Lightning delays are starting to become a tradition for LSU home openers.
Start time for the Tigers matchup against Jacksonville St. has been pushed back due to continuous lightning in the area.
After lighting passes in the area both teams will have a 20 minute warm-up period.
Per NCAA rules when lighting is detected within eight miles of a sporting event, the official start time has to be pushed back by 30 minutes.
The game was originally set to start at 6:30 p.m. Both teams went inside about a hour and a half before kickoff when rain started to come down inside Tiger Stadium.
