Lindsey Scott, a three-star rated quarterback from Zachary High School, has committed to LSU, he announced via Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

Scott is the first and likely only quarterback commitment to LSU’s 2016 recruiting class, which is the top ranked class according to 247Sports. His commitment makes 18 firm commitments to LSU on top of five players who are already enrolled in spring classes.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound quarterback chose the Tigers over Maryland, Tulane, Rutgers and Harvard, among others. Scott, who No. 15 dual-threat quarterback according to 247Sports, initially committed to Syracuse before he decommitted on Jan. 17.
In his senior season at Zachary, Scott tossed 3,039 yards and 33 touchdowns on top of 1,963 rushing yards and 28 rushing touchdowns.
