The roof of Patrick F. Taylor Hall caught fire Tuesday night, in part of a construction area on the building’s roof.
According to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard, no one was inside the building at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Emergency services were dispatched at 8:30 p.m. It took around 45 minutes for the flame to be contained. Crews say the fire did not move into other areas.
Patrick F. Taylor Hall is located on Nicholson Drive Extension and is predominantly used for engineering courses.
