Hey, this is Lady Q. My show for MMT is going to cover Hurray For The Riff Raff, a band that embodies the modern day LGBTQ person. The focus now and in this time in queer politics is to normalize what has been for so long been seen as an “other”. Hurray For The Riff Raff is a band with a queer woman of color as a singer and a trans fiddler. This is exciting for any LGBT person that is heavily into music and I hope to bring a lot of enjoyment and fun out of my show while being informative.
