ORLANDO — LSU coach Ed Orgeron said reserve defensive lineman Frank Herron did not make the trip to Orlando for Saturday’s Citrus Bowl against Louisville. The Camping World Stadium-based bowl game will kickoff at 10 a.m. (CT) Saturday morning.
Herron’s absence from the Citrus Bowl is for academic reasons, Orgeron said.
“He’ll be back in the Spring,” the coach said.
The 305-pound lineman, used normally as a substitute on the defensive line, played in 10 games this season and has 20 total tackles this season.
Herron missed LSU’s season-opening loss to Wisconsin to serve a suspension, according to The Advocate earlier this season.
