Students gathered Monday morning to demand the banning of theConfederate flag on campus.
About 200 students marched from the Union to Chancellor SeanO’Keefe’s office to protest the flag they say is racist.
Chancellor O’Keefe came out from his office upon the request of thestudents and said he agreed that the flag was offensive but would notban the flag on campus because of the right to free speech.
Student leaders in charge of the protest said they will hold a largerrally on Saturday before the football game if O’Keefe does not ban theflag before then.
