SC&E’s Coastal Ecology Institute — Professor Charles Hall, ESF Foundation Distinguished Professor, State University of New York, will give a talk titled “The Myth of Sustainable Development.” at 10 a.m. in the Royal Room of the Union. A discussion and reception will follow.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH COMMITTEE — The Black History Month Committee presents its second annual Mr. And Ms. Imani pageant on Feb. 5. Applications for the pageant can be picked up at the AACC or the OMA. The deadline for the application is Dec. 3.
SCHOLARSHIP — Applications are available for the Tom Cruse Memorial Scholarship for full-time students who are in at least their third year of college. Applications are available in the College of Basic Sciences, Engineering, Design and the Math Department for students enrolled in these majors.
Applications are also available in Student Aid in Room 208 Coates Hall. The application deadline is Jan. 31.
UNIVERSITY COLLEGE — Nominations for the George H. Deer Distinguished Teaching Award, Alumni Association Teaching Assistant Award and Adviser of the Year Award now are being accepted.
