Police arrested an individual Nov. 23 for driving while intoxicated after a traffic collision on Dalrymple Drive.
Police charged University student, Komi O. Hassan, 23, 3450 Nicholson Drive, Apt. 1004, with DWI first offense and following too closely.
An officer responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Dalrymple Drive and Donahue Circle.
The individual allegedly rear-ended a vehicle as it attempted to turn right.
The officer smelled alcohol on the individual’s breath and then conducted a field sobriety test. Police then took the individual to LSUPD for a breathalizer test.
The individual had a 1.68 blood alcohol level, police said. A person is considered legally drunk with a blood alcohol level of .10 BAC or above.
Police booked the individual into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on the above charges.
