Eleven women with ties to the University community or the Baton Rouge serial killer have been victims of brutal murders during the past 22 years. Five of these women have been linked to a serial killer by DNA evidence. Families of Christine Moore and Geralyn DeSoto, murdered in 2002, believe they also were victims of the serial killer, but there is no scientific evidence to link them. While the other four victims have no apparent connection to the serial killer, their murders are still unsolved. We ask that students now take a pro-active stand in keeping the community safe.
