Four LSU football players were drafted in the 2003 NFL Draft, and now two more have signed free agent contracts to chase their dream of playing in the NFL.
Jerel Myers, a four-year starter at the wide receiver position for the Tigers, signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills, while Kenderick Allen, a two-year starter for LSU along the defensive line, signed a free agent contract with the New Orleans Saints.
Myers and Allen join running backs Domanick Davis and LaBrandon Toefield, linebacker Bradie James and safety Norman LeJeune as members of the 2002-03 LSU team to be part of an NFL team.
Myers caught 64 passes for 854 yards as a freshman, and finished his career fourth on LSU’s all-time list with 149 catches for 1,843.
Allen, who was a high-school All-American from Bogalusa, La., finished his LSU career with 92 tackles and three sacks.
