Career Services and the College of Arts and Sciences will hold a videoconference for liberal arts majors Wednesday to offer advice to students seeking guidance in their career decisions.
The free program is 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Campbell Auditorium of the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student Athletes.
The program will include advice on career paths, effective job search tactics and job interviewing.
Donald Asher and Howard Figler, two nationally recognized authors, will speak at the program.
Asher is the author of several books, including “The Overnight Resume” and “The Foolproof Job Search Workbook.” He has spoken at more than 100 colleges and universities across the country.
Figler is the author of several books, including “The Complete Job Search Handbook” and “Keys to Liberal Arts Success.”
“With the job market as tight as it is, this is a great opportunity for students to learn about job search success for liberal art majors,” said Career Services Associate Director Mary Belleau.
Belleau said although the videoconference targets liberal arts majors, it would be beneficial to anyone who wants to attend.
