Police arrested a University student Monday on child pornography charges.
LSUPD Capt. Mark Shaw said Bruce Henry Perrin, 4445 Alvin Dark Drive, Apt. 37, Baton Rouge, was arrested on three counts of pornography involving juveniles.
Shaw said Kentucky State Police contacted LSUPD on Sept. 25 after arresting Ben Wallace in Kentucky on similar charges.
The evidence in the Wallace case implicated Perrin as a pornography trading partner, Shaw said.
Shaw said LSUPD obtained a search warrant Nov. 14 and searched Perrin’s apartment and vehicle.
Shaw said a preliminary examination of the seized materials gave officers probable cause to arrest Perrin. Authorities booked Perrin in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Shaw said as is typical in cases involving computer files, a more detailed examination of the seized materials will take place.
“We anticipate additional charges being filed,” he said.
