Spitalfield, a fairly new band on the music scene, has released their new album, “Remember Right Now.”
The CD was released under the Victory Records label earlier this month.
Spitalfield has been around for a while.
They have other releases on the Sinister label, but they seem to be moving up in the world of music.
“Remember Right Now” is energetic, yet somewhat calming.
The song “Those Days You Felt Alive” is the opening number on the new album. It is rhythmic and bass heavy, and quite good.
The energy the band possesses is a plus, especially in their genre of rock music.
Spitalfield fits in the same category as the Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World. They are not heavy rock, but not really punky either.
Their sound has roughly the same character as the almost famous Deep Blue Something.
The song “In The Same Lifetime” has a soothing quality and sweet, nostalgic lyrics. “In The Same Lifetime” proves the band is versatile and can play many types of music.
Spitalfield’s music is well written and should be well received.
Most of the album is joyous, with great guitar riffs and exceptional rhythmic patterns.
Spitalfield will be in Denham Springs this Saturday, October 18, at the American Legion Hall.
Tickets are eight dollars at the door and the show starts at 6:00 p.m.
Also playing are Death on Wednesday, Name Taken & Alexisonfire.
Spitalfield is touring all over the United States and Canada right now, and locals should check this band out.
