Police arrested a Sigma Nu fraternity member Oct. 15 after an alleged rape following a Sigma Nu exchange party at Bogie’s.
Baton Rouge Police Department Cpl. Don Kelly said Kenneth Jones, 5055 Nicholson Drive, Baton Rouge, was arrested on charges of simple rape after an 18-year-old woman reported being raped on the night of Oct. 4.
Kelly said the victim told police she attended a Sigma Nu party at Bogie’s on Oct. 4 and allegedly accepted wine from Jones.
The victim said she then lost consciousness. When she awoke at Jones’ apartment, she was nude from the waist down and Jones was nude and allegedly having sex with her, Kelly said.
Kelly said the victim awoke a second time and asked Jones to bring her home from his apartment, which he did.
Kelly said authorities were unable to determine if any drugs or other substances were placed in the victim’s drink.
