UW Regents offer presidency to Emmert

The Seattle Times is reporting that The University of Washington’s Board of Regents has named Chancellor Mark Emmert as its new president.
The article said the deal to appoint Emmert, a Tacoma native and Washington graduate, is contingent on successful negotiation of a contract, according to UW spokesman Bob Roseth.
