LSU football safety redshirt junior Sage Ryan (3) tosses the ball to a referee Saturday, Sept. 14th, 2024, during LSU’s 36-33 win over South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, Sc.
Starting defensive end Bradyn Swinson and safety Sage Ryan won’t play in the first quarter against Florida for LSU football, according to ESPN.
The two reportedly did not “meet team standards” during the week, and their absence is a coaches’ decision.
Freshman defensive end Gabriel Reliford and freshman linebacker Davhon Keys will enter the starting lineup in their place.
Swinson leads LSU with eight sacks this year, and Ryan is sixth on the team with 34 tackles.
