EPISODE 116: The Death Of The Universe
Original Air Date: 4-13-1989
Rebroadcast Date: 8-8-2024
Since the beginning of time it is foretold that all things must come to an end. The big bang, chapter one of an epic cosmological tale depicts a rather spontaneous and spectacular opening to creation. Throughout the life of the greater universe planets, stars, galaxies, and black holes come to being and flourish. But as the universe begins unraveling in a series of acts named unfounding, stars die, galaxies collide, and worlds end. In every sector of the known universe there is a cataclysmic event waiting for its final scene. Here in the solar system the sun will die and metamorphosize into a giant supernova. The Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies will inevitably collide and all the stars will burn out. An endless reign of darkness will fall, and everything will cease to exist. Join us in tonight’s episode as we journey into the end of time itself and discover what happens in the after.

“Spontaneous. When we were born, we were thrusted into this world of uncertainty. A long tapestry of lifetimes and we knew one thing was certain. Death. The return to elsewhere, a pilgrimage back home to a place long forgotten.” ~ Dr. Roy G. Biv
