Holiday Lights | Baton Rouge General
Take a walk through the beautiful Christmas light show at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. The 24 feet of lit up tunnels include singing trees, candy canes and snowmen, making it the perfect family-friendly holiday event. Entry is free and the event is recurring daily from 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
Tiger 10k | Tiger Stadium
Our Lady of the Lake, LSU Athletics and FRESH JUNKIE are coming together to create a festive road race. For kids looking to join in on the fun, a one mile kids race will be offered for those 12 and under.
To celebrate the event, a post-party race with music, food and beer will be waiting for all of the runners. Runners must register online.

Louisiana Lights | LSU Burden Gardens
LSU Burden Museum and Botanic Garden is hosting a holiday light show. Baton Rouge residents can walk through the garden to admire the magic of Windrush Gardens. Tickets can be purchased here.
Wednesday, Dec. 11
Coca-Cola Christmas | LASM
The Louisiana Art and Science Museum, located at 100 S River Road, will kick off the Christmas season with its month-long winter wonderland. The celebration will have Coca-Cola box displays throughout the decorated rooms such as the Candy-Cane Forest, Santa’s Workshop, North Pole Stroll, Rudolph’s Runway, Christmas Village and more.
Thursday, Dec. 12
Holly Jolly PJ Party | Knock Knock Museum
Another family friendly holiday event will be at the Knock Knock Museum, located at 1900 Dalrymple Drive, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be Winter Wonderland activities, hot chocolate, snowball donut treats and even pictures with Santa.
The event will cost $9 for members and $18 for non-members of the museum. Don’t forget to wear your favorite holiday pajamas.

A Christmas Carol | Theatre Baton Rouge
Theatre Baton Rouge is celebrating the holiday spirit with “A Christmas Carol”, recurring weekly on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Located at 7155 Florida Blvd., the theatre has performed this tradition for over a decade. Be sure to check out the play to get in the holiday spirit.

The Nutcracker | River Center Performing Arts Theatre
This classic Christmas performance is reimagined every year at the River Center Performing Arts Theatre. This tale from the bayou version, takes a Southern spin on ballet. Ticket prices vary and can be viewed here.

Santa’s Art Studio | LSU Museum of Art
A winter craft day takes place at the LSU Museum of Art this weekend, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will be able to decorate ornaments, design Rudolph’s new sled and much more. Admission is free.
