LSU Men’s Basketball defeated Stetson Tuesday night 99-53 and improved to 9-2 on the season.
The team shot a season-high 54 percent from the floor
The Tigers got off to a hot start holding the Hatters to no points until roughly 10 minutes into the first half, as they jumped out to a 17-point lead early in the game and held onto it.
Cam Carter and Vyctorious Miller shined bright as they grabbed 16 points a piece with Senior guard Dji Bailey not too far behind with 14 points of his own.
The Tigers went into the half with a 36-point lead, leading by as many as 49 points in the game.
While the offense was hot, the Tiger defense was locked down.
The Tigers forced a shot clock violation and continued to stall the Hatters’ offense as they went into the second stint of the first half trailing 15-0, with a rough shooting night of 0/16 from the field.
LSU held Stetson to a 12.9 field goal percentage on 4/31 shooting.
The Tigers finished with a season-high 48 rebounds, and 34 defensive rebounds, which kept the Hatters possessions limited.
The team will be back in the PMAC on December 22nd to take on the University of New Orleans at 2 p.m.
