LSU Basketball notched another win in the Sunday afternoon game against the University of New Orleans.
The 86-70 win wasn’t just handed to the Tigers as the first half was unprecedented. The team had trouble shooting going 2-16 from three and shooting 40% overall. But, it was the unwavering confidence of the team that led to the second half domination.
“We have this mentality on the team of next shot, and you keep that mentality then the next one is going to go in for sure,” said Guard Cam Carter.
The four freshmen had big games with Vyctorious Miller grabbing 17 points, Corey Chest adding his sixth straight double-double, and Curtis Givens III with five essential assists.
Head Coach Matt McMahon stated, “ I was really pleased with the way the freshmen performed there and got us out to the 24-point lead.”
While the team has one non-conference game left, SEC matchups are looming near and Tigers will look to continue trending upwards.
“With experience I think our team will continue to improve,” stated Matt McMahon.
The team will be back in the PMAC to take on Mississippi Valley State on Sunday December, 29th at 6 p.m.
