LSU backup quarterback Colin Hurley was involved in a crash on campus that left him unresponsive but breathing Thursday morning around 2:45 a.m., as first reported by WBRZ.
Hurley crashed his Dodge Charger into a tree at South Quad Drive and Highland Road near the south gate of LSU’s campus.
Officials told WBRZ that firefighters pulled Hurley out of his car, where he started to go in and out of consciousness and had a large cut on his face.
The cause of the crash has not been released; however, officials believe impairment was not involved, according to the report.
No further updates on his condition have been given.
Hurley is a freshman and former four-star recruit who didn’t play for LSU this season. He appeared in last year’s spring game, throwing for 77 yards and a touchdown.
