LSU Women’s Basketball played against Vanderbilt during a Monday night match, and beat them 83-77 continuing the Lady Tigers win streak of 19-0. Although the Tigers aren’t ready yet to take a breath as they are preparing to take on the Florida Gators in an away game on Sunday at 12 p.m.
The purple and gold still has a jam packed schedule after their game against Florida, with some tough SEC matchups on the horizon. But these ladies don’t seem at all intimidated, and are showing real potential in being able to keep up their win streak.
Not only are the Women’s Basketball team dominating the PMAC, but so are the Gymnastics team going 3-1 and looking to keep their win streak going as they take on the Florida Gators on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
Although the ladies are dominating in the PMAC, there is still some room for improvement especially when it comes to landings. Head Coach Jay Clark, is aware of these improvements but he does not feel rushed to fix these problems, and is using practice time to work on them.
“There is a pace that I like to keep, not every program sees things the same way,” Coach Clark said.
“So I am not going to over train something because we are trying to fix something over night where it’s a marathon and we are going to treat it like that. We are going to stay on our pace from a training perspective to the best of our ability and not try to be perfect too soon.
“We want to be continually making improvements, moving forward, methodically moving forward.”
