Aneesah Morrow earned the title of Naismith Women’s College Player of the Week after a dominating performance against the Florida Gators on Sunday.
Morrow’s 20 points and 10 rebounds drove LSU to a win on the road against Florida. Morrow tallied her 10th consecutive double-double and her 92nd career double-double in just 132 games.
Morrow has helped LSU women’s basketball remain undefeated by averaging 19.6 points and 14 rebounds per game. She also leads the nation in double-doubles with 17.
Morrow’s previous games have been dominant as well. She scored 23 points and 15 rebounds last Monday against Vanderbilt and exceeded 1,500 career rebounds. The game before, she recorded 23 points and 21 rebounds against No. 16 Tennessee while also surpassing the 2,500-point mark.
Morrow and the Tigers look to keep the unbeaten streak alive as they travel to Columbia, South Carolina for a matchup against No. 2 South Carolina on Thursday. The game is set to host College Gameday at 6 p.m. CT and will lead straight to tip-off at 7 p.m.
