On Jan. 26, at approximately 2:45 a.m., LSU quarterback Colin Hurley was involved in an on-campus car accident that left him unresponsive yet still breathing.
Tigers head coach Brian Kelly spoke to the media for the first time on Wednesday about Hurley’s situation, 20 days after the accident.
“Obviously, we’re all looking at Colin, and again, it’s a day-to-day situation,” Kelly said.
Hurley’s father, Charlie, has told Kelly that ‘there’s really good progress’ regarding his son’s health; however, Kelly didn’t have an estimated return date for the backup signal-caller.
“So, I think we all come at it from a similar perspective is that we’re hoping for the best, but don’t have any certain timetable as to when he might be back,” Kelly said.
