Joe Burrow has brought home the 2024 AP Comeback Player of the Year award.
Burrow underwent wrist surgery in the 2023 season, and emerged in 2024 as an NFL MVP candidate.
This isn’t Burrow’s first time accepting this award. He received the same award in 2021 following a torn ACL that sidelined him during his rookie year.
Burrow made it back for the start of the season and led the league with 4,918 yards, 43 touchdown passes and 460 completions while posting a completion percentage over 70%. He finished with the third-best passer rating and ranked fourth in completion percentage this season.
While the Cincinnati Bengals ultimately fell short of a postseason return, Burrow’s performance through the air nearly put them there.
