With the freshmen’s debut, Heavener faced 18 batters striking out 13 times and having a pitch count of 85 through her first six collegiate innings.
Coming back off of a torn ACL injury, Senior Infield Danieca Coffey came back better than ever, leading the LSU offense going two for two at bat and having two runs batted in.
Junior Infield McKaela Walker went two for four at bat, having a double base hit, and 2 Run Batted In.

The Tigers beat Charlotte 8-0. The Tigers are taking on Central Arkansas at 6:30 p.m. and will be back in Tiger Park Saturday taking on the same two teams for the second day of a three part tournament for Tiger Classic
