“When I hit my first home run, it was just everything that I’ve always wanted,” Edwards said.
Freshman Pitcher Jayden Heavener threw a perfect game in her debut against Charlotte on Friday, Feb. 7. Heavener spoke on her debut and how she’s moving forward with the season.
“It’s good to step out there for my first time, just let people know that I am who I am and be grateful for the opportunity that I got,” Heavener said. “But just to know that if I do have a bad game, it is what it is, again it’s a game of failures.”
