LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly spoke to media Thursday evening following practice regarding injury reports and the energy from the team heading into the game.
With four freshman starting on each side, Coach Kelly praises their natural talent and abilities, but above all their ability to be coached and learn, that is what got them their starting positions Kelly says.
There isn’t much changes going into the week, Kelly prefers to stay within the personnel they’re in as the offense is starting to really click and find their rhythm.
Jayden Daniels has played many away games during his time at Arizona State and Coach Kelly is confident that he can lead the team into Auburn and play through the adversity, after having their all their games within the state of Louisiana and last three games in Tiger Stadium.
Regarding injuries, Armoni Goodwin is out with a “substantial” hamstring injury as it’s going to require more time. John Emery Jr., Noah Cain and Josh Williams are all good to go and will split the snaps this weekend.
Questionable players such as BJ Ojulari and Jay Ward have been practicing all week and are good to go for the game. Unfortunately, Garret Dellinger, the Sophomore Offensive Lineman, is out with a hand injury.
Coach Kelly says the team is less concerned on going out with a fast start and are more focused on having consistent play. The offense look to clean up their self-inflicted mistakes and the defense has to be able to stop the ball says Kelly.
The Tigers look to go leave Jordan-Hare Stadium with their fourth win on the season.
