The LSU Baseball team dominated in the second game of the series against the Arkansas Razorbacks and finished with a 12-2 victory.
Arkansas was first to put points on the board with a two-run shot to left field. Despite their strong start in the first inning, the Tigers were the team to score for the remainder of the game.
The Purple and Gold answered with two back-to-back home runs from second baseman Gavin Dugas and left fielder Tre’ Morgan in the bottom of the second.
In the bottom of the third, outfielder Josh Pearson tripled to right field and first baseman Cade Beloso scored, extending their lead to 5-2.
Outfielder Dylan Crews hit the third and final home run of the day in the bottom of the fifth. With scores from Tommy White in the fifth and Morgan and Crews in the sixth, the Tigers led 9-2 by the top of the seventh.
In the seventh inning, the Bayou Bengals made three more runs and ended the matchup early due to the 10-run rule.
The Tigers and Razorbacks face off in the final game of the series at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
