LSU is working on finalizing a 10-year contract worth a hefty $32 million for Women’s Basketball Head Coach Kim Mulkey.
The deal is still awaiting approval from LSU’s board of supervisors, but when all is said and done the contract will be the richest in NCAA women’s basketball history.
In only her second season with the Purple and Gold, Mulkey won the first national title in program history. Combined with her three previous titles with Baylor, Mulkey continues to show she knows how to win.
When approved, Mulkey will be making more annually than big winners such as UConn’s Geno Auriemma and South Carolina’s Dawn Staley.
Mulkey’s new contract will add to the anticipation of the 2023-24 season as a few of last season’s stars are set to return and play alongside Louisville transfer Hailey Van Lith.
