The LSU men’s golf team is headed back to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2019.
The Tigers moved up one spot in the final round of the Baton Rouge Regional to finish 4-over on the tournament, right above the cutline. They were led by Connor Gaunt who shot -5 in the third round.
LSU peaked at No. 24 in the rankings this season, but were unranked in the Top 25 going into the regional. No. 1 Auburn won the Baton Rouge Regional with a 20-under performance.
The NCAA Championship will start for the Tigers on May 24 in Carlsbad, Calif. at the Omni La Costa Resort. 30 teams and six individuals will compete in a 54-hole round of stroke play to begin. 15 teams and nine individuals will advance to another day of stroke play. Eight teams will advance from stroke play into a bracket.
