LSU starting pitcher Gage Jump and third baseman Tommy White spoke to the media after a 5-1 win over Ole Miss in the first game of the weekend series.
“I thought I could’ve pitched the whole game, to be honest, but lightning” Jump said. He pitched six innings and allowed just a solo home run. A weather delay in the bottom of the sixth inning ended his day early.
White led the Tigers’ offense today with three hits and an RBI. He recorded his first career triple early in the game.
“Yeah I think the last time I hit a triple I was like nine years old,” White said. “That was fun, yeah, I’ve never done that before.”
LSU will play game two against Ole Miss at noon on Friday.
