The last time LSU played Army, Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights was the highest grossing film of the year. Army defeated LSU 20-0 in Michie Stadium on November 7, 1931.

15,000 fans were in attendance for the game. This week may be a little different as more than 100,000 fans will be in the stands, wearing their purple and gold, to cheer on the Tigers.

LSU is 5-2 on the year while Army sits at 2-4 after suffering a 20-0 loss against Troy Saturday.

LSU Quarterback Jayden Daniels and his 2,294 passing yards this season is a big reason the Tigers are No. 2 in total offense this year in the FBS.

Despite Daniels’ impressive numbers in the air, Tackle Will Campbell and the offensive line want to rely more on the ground game.
