The LSU Tigers had their home opener tonight as they took on Purdue Fort Wayne. They easily showed that they are ready for a fight this season. After losing last season in the playoffs, the team is going into 2025 with a chip on their shoulder.
The Tigers were already dominating the first inning as they went 5-0. Purdue seemed to not be able to get a grip on them, and Center Fielder Ben Kasparie errored four times in the first inning, allowing the Tigers to take the lead.
After taking the lead, they were not letting up, and definitely not letting Purdue get a single run home. Kade Anderson pitched 5 innings only allowing four hits off of him and zero runs.
Casan Evans, Jacob Mayers and Cooper Williams also hit the mound in the last four innings, and allowed zero hits off of them. Also allowing zero runs. These Tigers will hopefully continue to show their power and strength as they go against Purdue Fort Wayne again Saturday at 11 a.m.
