The LSU Tigers took on Purdue Fort Wayne in a second matchup after their home opener. Purdue seemed to come back with some fighting spirit, but the Tigers were just too much. The final score was 10-1 Tigers.
Anthony Eyanson opened for LSU pitching a total of five innings, allowing one run and four hits. Connor Benge, DJ Primeaux and Mavrick Rizy also made an appearance on the mound during the game.
Connor Benge pitching for 1 inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs. DJ Primeaux pitched for 1 inning, allowed one hit and zero runs. Mavrick Rizy who is a Freshman pitched for one inning, allowed zero runs and zero hits.
There was also some amazing plays at bat. With Derek Curiel and Jared Jones hitting their first home runs of the season. Daniel Dicknson also joined them, hitting his first home run of the season.
While the Tigers are looking to be in good shape for the upcoming season, they did have one error during the game. So, there is still some work that needs to be done. LSU takes on Purdue Fort Wayne on Sunday at 1 p.m.
