LSU baseball redshirt sophomore right-handed pitcher Chase Shores (34) pitches during LSU's 8-1 win against Purdue Fort Wayne on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at Alex Box Stadium on Gourrier Avenue in Baton Rouge, La.
LSU baseball’s midweek away matchup on Wednesday night has been postponed due to frigid and inclement weather in south Louisiana.
The Tigers will now host Nicholls at Alex Box Stadium at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, February 24, and LSU will face the Colonels in Thibodaux at 6 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 8.
LSU and Nicholls were initially scheduled to meet on April 8 in Baton Rouge.
This matchup was set to be the Tigers’ toughest test yet, as the Colonels earned a spot in the Corvallis Regional last season, where they went winless and were ultimately eliminated by Tulane in their second game.
