On a sunny Friday morning, LSU Beach Volleyball defeated Northern Alabama 4-1 to start the Tiger Beach Challenge.
The event was full of families supporting their student athletes from both teams. Kids and dogs playing in the background, as both teams played strong.
Things started with three games, where LSU took a commanding lead with a 2-1 score. In court one, LSU won 2 sets to none. In the 3rd court, Northern Alabama had their only win of the day. Final result for the first match played in court five was 1-1.
In the second part of the matchup, LSU won 3 games to finish winning their first win of the Tiger Beach Classic.
The Tigers still have to face Louisiana Monroe, and The University of South Florida on Friday. On Saturday, they will face UT Martin and Southeastern Louisiana.
After a week of official competition, LSU Beach Volleyball has a 5-1 record, with its only loss being against Florida State in the Beach Burg Invitational.
