LSU Softball played a great game Wednesday night against ULM, winning 12-4 in five innings and now being ranked No. 4 after their win.
The Tigers started and ended off strong with pitcher Tatum Clopton pitching first with no runs and no hits and ending the game with six strikeouts.
With little to no mistakes, Clopton was a prominent player of the game as she pitched 4-0.
LSU utility player Tori Edwards had an all-around great game tonight. Edwards hit two home runs in one game, adding to her collection of home runs from just this year.
The entire night, Edwards was on a role as she went three for three when stepping on the plate tonight, hitting multiple home runs and stealing bases.
At the bottom of the second, the Tigers kept their momentum hitting a double with the bases loaded.
The Tigers’ third inning was a bit stale, as they were just shy of home plate during its duration.
That didn’t stop the Tigers, but pushed them as they added four more runs to their score between the fourth and fifth innings.
LSU Softball will take on South Alabama, March 7 at 6 p.m. in Tiger Park for the LSU Round Ribbon tournament.
