LSU Gymnastics defeated Georgia 198.575-197.175 in a record-breaking win.
Seniors Aleah Finnegan, Sierra Ballard and Haleigh Bryant had stellar performances tonight with Finnegan scoring a 10.000 on beam.
Finnegan’s perfect score was the highlight of the night for the Tigers, and it was the first time in the 2025 season that a Tiger posted a perfect score.
Bryant said Finnegan is very important to the team and that Finnegan sets a great example of how to be an LSU gymnast.
“She inspires so many people, and especially over at beam, but all four of the events really,” Bryant said. “Just how she goes about her business is just so, so amazing to watch.”
Finnegan reflected on her experience as a Tiger and the amount of support the fans provide for the team. “I’m just grateful to be at a place like this, where everyone is accepting and loving and they really do want to see us succeed,” Finnegan said.
Ballard reflected on her time at LSU and credits past alumni for what she’s been able to do at LSU. She says LSU Gymnastics continues the legacy of those who came before by performing to the best of their abilities.
“Set the pavement for us to build upon, we wouldn’t be able to climb if they didn’t build the pavement,” Ballard said.
LSU Gymnastics finishes the regular season in Auburn on Friday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. CST
