LSU Women’s Basketball went against Texas in the semifinals, where they lost 56-49, ending their chances of winning the SEC Championship. Although it was a tough loss, the Tigers still put up a fight as they gave the No. 1 team a run for their money.
With a total of 32 defensive rebounds, Head Coach Kim Mulkey, said that the game was a defensive game.
After being called a “Ragtag” team, meaning they were very disorganized on the court, after playing a hard fought game, Mulkey wanted to set the record straight.
“So, that Ragtag team that you like to call ragtags, they competed with the No. 1 team in the country today,” Mulkey said.
“Without Morrow, without Flau’Jae and Mikaylah sitting a lot. And I would take that any day because when you get those three back healthy, that’s the No. 1 team in the country right? We competed today.”
The Tigers were also showcasing some talent on offensive rebounds with 9 total rebounds. With 32 total rebounds. The Tigers still have March Madness to showcase their organization with injured players hopefully making a return. The lists and brackets will be released on Sunday.
