Looking to make a strong first impression but don’t have the budget for business attire? LSU students now have access to Tailored Tiger, a professional development closet offering free business casual and business professional clothing to help students prepare for interviews, internships, and jobs.
Located on the third floor of the LSU Student Union, the closet ensures that every student can dress for success without financial stress.
“So many students don’t have the funds to go out and buy professional business wear, which is what a lot of interviews and internships are looking for,” said Ivy Tess, Tailored Tiger student lead. “You kind of need to look the part, and we try to provide an outlet on campus for students to do that.”
To access Tailored Tiger, students must book an appointment through Handshake, LSU’s career services platform. Once inside, they can select up to four clothing items per semester, completely free of charge.
The closet offers everything from blazers to dress shoes, ensuring students have what they need to walk into any professional setting with confidence.
“It’s free, and it’s free business casual clothing,” said LSU student Avery Donnelly. “I’ve heard of other students who have gotten really good high-end clothing pieces that will last a long time.”
Tailored Tiger isn’t just about clothes—it’s about opportunity. By eliminating financial barriers, LSU is helping students take their next career step with confidence and style.
A sharp look can make a lasting impression, and now LSU students don’t have to let cost be a barrier. With just an appointment on Handshake, students can step into their future—one outfit at a time.
