LSU Football continues their spring practice to acclimate the new players on the roster to the program.
Head Coach Brian Kelly begins his fourth year at LSU with Offensive Coordinator Joe Sloan and Defensive Coordinator Blake Baker, who are entering their second years.
One of the question mark areas for the Tigers this season will be the offensive line. Will Campbell, Emory Jones and Miles Frazier are major losses, and Coach Kelly plans on moving pieces around to find the best starting lineup possible.
The Tigers suffered another loss with defensive line coach Bo Davis taking a job with the New Orleans Saints. Former LSU and Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Kyle Williams has taken his place, and so far he seems like a promising fit.
“He’s allowing us to play faster, especially out of the three,” defensive tackle Ahmad Breaux said after practice. “It’s really limited thinking. I like it. A lot of the d-linemen like it.”
Along with gelling with new players, the team is also focusing on getting major pieces fully recovered from injuries, including Chris Hilton Jr. and Harold Perkins Jr.
LSU continues practice on Saturday, March 15 but is likely to be moved indoors due to inclement weather.
