The LSU Women’s Tennis team had a challenging weekend receiving, #1 Georgia, South Carolina and Jackson State.
The LSU Women’s Tennis Team started the weekend, losing to #1 Georgia, on Friday. The match ended 4-2 with the only points of LSU coming from Anita Sahdiieva and the doubles.
On Sunday morning, LSU played against South Carolina. A tough victory for the Tigers, who proved they can come from behind, when needed. Great experience and showing of determination, exactly one month away to the start of the postseason.
Kina Graham, Kayla Cross, Anita Sahdievva and Cadence Brace all won long tough battles for the Tigers Win.
The second match of Sunday, against Jackson State, had to be played inside. The team showed a lot of strength and dominance on doubles, winning two games in less than 20 minutes.
For the singles, prior to the matches, coaches decided they were going to let all six games finish. The result of this, a very dominant 7-0 for the Tigers, with any of them loosing more than 3 games in their 2 sets.
The Tigers continue to have strong performances as they enter the last month of SEC play. The Tigers will travel to Texas next week to face Texas in Austin on Friday, and Texas A&M in College Station.
